I first wrote publicly about my conversations with archangels and ascended masters last September. As I explain in that post, I had been having my conversations with the divinities for a couple of months already, and I have been sharing those conversations with my readers in the order that I am urged to, which is usually different from the order Ihave planned. For years now, I have been trying to walk the fine line of following the route I have created and also learning when to take the opportunities that the Universe presents me—that is, balancing the use of logic and intuition; striving and going with the flow; doing and being.
This week, finally, I am prompted to share my very first intentional encounter with what Doreen Virtue calls a divinity. She uses this term in her Archangels & Ascended Masters—which gave me the original idea to have intentionalconversations with these entities, and I have since come to use it for archangels and ascended masters, as well as gods/goddesses, forces of nature, nature spirits, and so on. I cannot always distinguish them energetically, so I defer to these personalities who come to me to indicate how they prefer to be identified. (Ishtar, for instance, referenced my practice in not really distinguishing one from another and made it clear that she believes herself to be a goddess.)
The first time I read of this goddess, I read of her as Abundantia but saw Fulla given as an alternate name. The name Fulla resonated with me more [Abundantia is the Roman form; Fulla, a Teutonic form. I tend to be drawn to Teutonic divinities far more than Greco-Roman.], so I repeated it twice, simply turning the word over, trying it on my tongue, and felt joy. A giggle escaped my lips.
When it came time to sit down and have my first conversation with her (on July 30, 2017, if you’re curious), I did the invocation as suggested by Doreen Virtue in Archangels & Ascended Masters: A Guide to Working and Healing with Divinities and Deities. I held coins in my receptive hand and said these words:
Beautiful [Fulla], I desire to be like you—carefree and filled with faith that my supply is already met in all ways. Help me replace any money worries with joy and gratitude. Help me open my arms so that Heaven may easily help me. Thank you for all of your guidance, gifts, and protection. I’m truly grateful, and I’m abundantly joyful and fulfilled. I let go, and relax in the sure knowledge that I’m completely taken care of, immediately and in the future.
Fulla replied almost immediately: You say these words, but do you mean them?
I explained that I was trying my best to make them true.
That is good. But stop trying and simply BE.
I consented to do so, and I spent some time focusing on that feeling while she stood by.
(What follow are my notes from the several conversations I had with Fulla. I’m leaving them largely as I typed them because these were my very first forays into intentional conversations with divinities, and I want to convey here the initial awe, disbelief, and overall positive outcomes that I experienced then and continue to experience in these conversations even now, several months later.)

Her voice is rather high-pitched, not quite so high-pitched as that of the Childlike Empress [from the NeverEndingStory movies]. (She giggles at the comparison, thinking it’s silly, because Fulla is powerful, though [she and the Childlike Empress] do try to inspire the same richness in their followers, those who call to them for help.
When I really focus on the feeling of accepting that I have all I need, I feel the urge to cry a little. I’m not sure if it’s relief or frustration. But Fulla wraps her arms around me.
“Can you tell me,” I ask her, “how I and others can be like you, carefree and full of faith that our supply is met in all ways?”
Doesn’t the Bible say that God provides for the birds and the beasts, so surely, He will provide for you? It is the same. The birds and the beasts make do with what they have, and they thrive. You humans [she says this slightly sadly, maybe a little mockingly], you are always making things more complicated than they need to be. Come, sit here.
She makes a chair appear in my mind. Her hands are resting on the top of the back of the chair. I sit, and I feel her arms embrace me. No, her energy. My heart begins to lighten, to swell in my chest. I hear and see a pile of gold coins begin to form around me and around the base of the chair. The pile never grows more than a foot or so high, though the coins keep falling. She shows me that this is what happens with most of us humans [the money keeps coming in, but we never have more than a little on hand for our needs].
Then she embraces me again, and my heart feels like it is swelling. I am no longer in a chair but am surrounded by a mountain of the gold coins. I would be crushed by them, I feel, except there’s a column of energy around the two of us. I can feel the energy of the money, feel it on all sides of me. Fulla indicates that I should focus on that feeling and recall it in the future when I need it.
It’s all around us, she indicates, all the money we could ever need, and we simply need to “pluck it from the air,” rather like the leprechaun in [Neil Gaiman’s] American Gods.
When I express that I’m not sure how to do that, she tells me to simply have faith. It’s just that easy, she says. Have faith, and call on me. I ask if she can help me craft a prayer or a practice for people in these times, in which money seems to be such a focus yet most people feel they will never have enough, fearful about the future.
She tells me to do what we just did: Sit in that chair and watch the gold fall around us but never grow above about shin height. Then call upon her and feel her presence as we stand up from the chair and find ourselves suddenly surrounded by a mountain of gold. She tells me to expand the riches, so I’m surrounded by not simply a mountain of gold but a dragon’s horde, like that of Smaug in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug—gold and jewels as far as the eye can see.
But don’t fear getting crushed. Feel yourself grow to be the size of the dragon, able to move in, on, around, and under the treasure at will. Do not fall into the trap of the dragon, however, believing that the abundance is yours and no one else’s, for gold serves no one if it simply sits in a pile. Wealth is most helpful when used as a tool. Amassing riches for riches’ sake is no better than gathering shoes or even insects out of the air … You may find some happiness in the collection, but trying to hold on to it will make you miserable if you hold simply to hold. Holding wealth does not make you happy. It will not. MANAGE wealth. Make it available to others, and you will always have a supply of wealth.
When I ask if this means that people should not amass fortunes, she says, Not at all. She impresses upon me that the intent is the key, as it is with so many other things. If you intend to gather more so that others feel lack, or to protect yourself from lack, you are focused on the lack, and the money will never make you happy. Money is simply energy, and it should not stagnate. Keep the money energy moving. (This is not the same as keeping the money moving, she tells me). Remember Scrooge. Remember Smaug. Let Smaug be an object lesson. Let Scrooge be an inspiration, she says with a gentle smile.
I express my thanks, and she moves on.

Next week, I will be sharing more of my conversations with Fulla, but I want to end this week’s post stressing to you the mental exercise that she shared. By itself, it does not bring more money to you, but it does help you focus on the positive aspects of money. It helps reset your focus from the fear of having too little to the expansiveness of having more than enough. When you are focused on having too little, you are far more likely to try to hold on to the money, even when you need to be spending it, which leads to worse outcomes in the long term.
A classic example of this from my own experience is not spending money for regular maintenance of a car, doing regular checks and fixing small problems because we “didn’t have the money.” Soon enough, the small problems became bigger, and what had been a $50 fix became a $1000 fix.
Alternatively, from a place of fear, you may spend extravagantly, thinking you may never have the funds to do XYZ again, so you spend it all as soon as it comes in, thus engaging in a self-fulfilling prophecy.
This exercise given by Fulla helps you focus on the feeling of having more than enough, which helps alleviate the fear and puts you in a mental state from which you can look at things far more objectively and choose from a logical—rather than emotional—viewpoint how, where, and when your funds are best spent. I have used it to fabulous effect in the months since, and I invite you to do the same. You have absolutely nothing to lose, but very much to gain.
