October’s energy is focused on growth, especially overcoming our fear, so we can step through the gateway and onto a new path. We’ve been moving toward this for months, and now that fall and a full moon have arrived, and most of the planets that were in retrograde over the summer have once again gone direct, we have renewed energy available to help us focus on personal (earthly) and spiritual growth and development.

As it was for September, massage is probably the biggest and best way we can work on healing ourselves to take fullest advantage of the energy of October. Massage grounds us and brings us fully into our bodies, helps us face, confront, and overcome our fear. Remember, massage manipulates our energetic and spiritual fields in addition to our physical bodies, helping us relax and detoxify at all levels. Remember, too, that a massage need not be long or expensive—or even done by someone else—to be beneficial. Even a minute or two here and there, massaging your own hand or scalp or shoulders, can be of great benefit.

Creator (Mother-Father God), Archangel Raphael, please help me to remember that I deserve massage and self-treatment, that I need it to feel grounded, to overcome my fear, and to grow into my highest potential—the potential that I and You always bear in mind. Help me to hear the voice of Spirit over the voice of ego and the voice of fear so that as I stand at this gateway into my new life, I can fully embrace every opportunity.
