Last week was Thanksgiving, a time for family and friends and, of course, reviewing what I’m thankful for. The past few weeks have been so busy that I haven’t had a lot of time for reflection, but I have noticed in passing that my intuitive abilities are ever-evolving, always changing. Sometimes I “get a hit” about someone—that is, know something that there’s no way I “should” know, according to conventional wisdom, and I realize that I got that “hit” without having gone into a meditative state first, or without having asked my guides for specific help, and I start to panic, thinking that because I haven’t gone through my process thoroughly, the information might be wrong, or I might have somehow “invented” it.
Then I take a moment to find my center, to meditate, and/or to check in with my guides, and the information is confirmed. My guides point out that they and I communicate constantly, and the more that we carry on the conversation, the easier it is for us to “speak” to each other, and in shorthand. Think about answering your phone based on caller ID, for example. You see a number you don’t recognize, so you don’t answer, or you’re leery about answering. But then the caller leaves you a voicemail (think synergies from your guides), and you realize it was a friend who has a new phone number. If it’s a really good friend, you’re far more likely to answer that call as soon as the number pops up. Maybe you’ll call that person occasionally, absent-mindedly, without a second (or first) thought when you have a problem. That’s kind of how this thing is with my guides—I get a “hit” (they answered the phone) without realizing I was “dialing in” to ask the question.
So, that reminded me of one of my earliest posts here on srsstringham.com, when I had just accepted and embraced my intuitive gifts and was first offering readings professionally instead of just to a few trusted friends and relatives. You can read it here.
